Therapist Overview
No one is entitled to an uncomplicated life. How we deal with these complications will determine our level of happiness. Because of a lifetime of experiences that included raising a family, running a business, unemployment, bereavement and much more, it has given me a better understanding of what clients are facing. I am amazed at the inter strength and resilience that individuals have, but haven’t discovered yet. You don’t have to be “crazy” to come to counseling. You just have to choose to feel better and want to grow. The road to recovery is sometimes as simple as discovering and identifying “stinking thinking” (Zig Ziggler). Other times it is exploring traumatic childhood events such as rape, abuse and incest. At Pathway Center, we provide a safe place and time to allow the individual to tidy up that unfinished business. My job as a therapist is to help the client identify the problem, discover their strength, and explore viable solutions. This is done in a collaborative, egalitarian relationship, giving the client a safe space to explore what has caused the disturbance. Because of the diverse staff, consultation for a unique special situation is readily available. Call us.
