A licensed mental health counselor is a professional who has a master’s degree (M.A.) in psychology, counseling, or another mental health field. They work two years with a mental health professional after graduate school for licensing. They cannot perform medical procedures or prescribe medications.

I have an extensive experience with mental health and has been a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. My treatment approach is rooted in best-personalized treatment plans such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I’ve studied at the University of Massachusetts Global, where I obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice/PMHNP.

I have experience with anxiety, depression, chronic illness, and trauma. A specialty of my practice is working with transgender and gender nonconforming individuals and their families.
