Therapist Overview
You may have been doing okay and then something changes or everything going on just gets to feel like too much. Sometimes you need someone different and objective to help sort things out. Getting help is not a sign of weakness, it’s taking control. It’s knowing that something needs to change and you want to figure out how to make that happen. As an adult, you have already been doing a lot of things right. That’s how you’ve gotten this far. But also, as an adult, you may be in patterns or ruts that you might not be aware that you’re in. Therapy can help you to step back and look at your life so you can decide what you like and what you want to change. It can help you to manage or adjust to what life has seemed to dump in your lap. You already have strengths that you can build on, even if it doesn’t seem like it right now. There are also additional skills & perspectives that you can learn. It’s important to find a therapist that fits your personality and needs. I have over 25 years of experience working with people with a variety of issues. If you see yourself as “different” and feel that you don’t fit in, that’s okay. Different doesn’t mean bad or wrong. My approach is supportive, straight forward and interactive. Change is possible.
