Theresa Brenner-Farrell is a Therapist based in USA. My areas of speciality include therapeutic practices. This profile is currently unclaimed; please validate the details are current when communicating with the mental health professional.
Though I work with clients of all ages, my practice is centered around families and children. My clients have experienced issues that include divorce, domestic violence, abuse, and addiction. We work together to create a strong bond, determine goals, and make a treatment plan that is best suited to the needs of the individual client. I don’t work alone; my clients and I work together. I think of my job as being a container for past hurts and a catalyst for change. My background is in education and the visual and performing arts. I bring this into my practice. Whether I am working with children, teens, or adults I encourage the use of expressive arts to help clients understand the issues that brought them into therapy. I also use play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness training. Finding the right therapist takes time. I consider the first appointment to be an opportunity to get to know one another. It’s important that a client feels comfortable and at ease. If the relationship doesn’t create a “good fit,” I will refer the client to someone else.
