Therapist Overview
As a Mental Health Counselor, I believe that life presents us challenges that we sometimes need help to overcome. My specialty is working with young people between the ages of 10 and 21, but I do work with clients of all ages, with a focus on mood and behavioral stability. The foundations of my approach to counseling are Existential Psychology and Jungian Analytical Psychology. I have extensive experience working in Native American and multicultural communities. Anxiety, sadness, and a need for control can be overwhelming forces in our lives. Using creativity, we can work together to find new strategies to deal with these forces, and hopefully find a more comfortable way to move through the world. I specialize in hearing the unheard, and helping clients find an effective voice so that others may hear them too. I believe much of the outwardly “negative” behaviors we see (especially with children) can be changed if we are able to work together to find effective communication. Member: Ame
