Therapist Overview

I specialize in working with people with PTSD and trauma and also support people with depression, chronic pain and chronic illness. If you have experienced a trauma, you may be blaming and shaming yourself for symptoms that are a direct result of that trauma. Know that there are effective treatments for trauma and that you do not have to do this alone. In my work, I integrate structured evidence-based treatment (EMDR and Cognitive Processing Therapy) with meaning-oriented and creative approaches like expressive writing and art making. I strive to bring respect, warmth, depth, levity, and a collaborative spirit to this process. I have found, in my work and in my own experience, that alleviating symptoms is only one aspect of healing. Another is a growing sense of meaning. Two components of the experience of meaning are narrative across time and presence in the moment. In therapy, we will treat your symptoms and engage creatively to encounter and explore meaning in your experience. Feel
