I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with adults, teen athletes, and groups. I have worked in the mental health and social service field for over 9 years; and with individual athletes and teams for 3. I received my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Governors State University; and I am currently receiving my certificate in Sport Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings including community mental health, substance abuse treatment, college and university, and private practice. I have extensive experience working with clients dealing with anxiety, mood disorders, grief and loss, attachment issues, burnout, and confidence and performance issues. I use a variety of theoretical orientations and collaboratively work with clients to provide support and continuous growth. A client-centered/ non-judgmental approach encourages a healthy relationship between the therapist and client which helps fosters the change within the individual. It is my goal as a therapist to help clients garner their strengths to cope, grow, and make adjustments to their lives.
