There are so many opportunities to feel stuck in life while you are managing the multitude of responsibilities that come along with it. Navigating these challenges on your own can add to the stress you feel, and sometimes you feel helpless coping with these struggles in unhealthy ways. I am a mental health counselor with experience in a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, substance use, anger management, life transitions, and relationship issues. I utilize elements of motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic theory to address the unhealthy patterns impacting your satisfaction in life. I obtained my Master’s in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Ramapo College of New Jersey. My experience in the field allowed me to appreciate how each person brings a unique set of experiences to therapy. My approach to therapy is nonjudgmental, empathetic, and collaborative. I adjust my interventions based on the person in front of me and prefer to work with active input from them. Allowing you to be the best expert on yourself, I strive to provide insight as we explore your concerns and determine how best to help you overcome them.
