Twenty five years ago, when I began to practice, I was fascinated by the resiliency of people individually, and their family systems. I have worked with people from many different backgrounds, with many different challenges. My approach to therapy is down-to-earth and uncomplicated. Most often I lean heavily into Trust Based Relational Interventions (TBRI). I look at challenges from several viewpoints and work with the client to help them identify the strengths within to address their own concerns. I have worked with children, youth and adults who are trying to figure out who they are, especially when they are faced with challenges of Asperger's, trauma, or dissociative disorders. I also work with the families of these children, helping them understand their unique qualities. As an adoptive parent/grandparent of children who have needs related to trauma, sensory issues, and Aspergers, I understand the stressors of helping your child reach their potential.
