Sam Kane, MA, LMHC, is a licensed mental health counselor and clinical psychology candidate with the California School of Professional Psychology. Mr. Kane has worked directly with children and adults presenting with emotional and behavioral (e.g., Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance), neurologically-based conditions (Traumatic Brain Injuries, Concussions, Autism), learning disabilities, and chemical dependency across a variety of settings including public and private schools, inpatient and outpatient psychiatric facilities, and university research settings. Mr. Kane is also trained in the treatment of PTSD and other clinical presentations often seen in Veteran populations using a Cognitive-Behavioral theoretical framework. Through his clinical training, Mr. Kane has worked extensively with Veterans and their families and has been effective in helping his clients manage their stressors. Mr. Kane is also actively involved in the Wounded Warrior Project via the VA, as well as works closely with children and teens that have experienced trauma, such as school violence, high conflict separation and divorce, TBI's, and personal injuries. Mr. Kane is currently accepting new clients at NW Family Psychology - Madison Park.
