“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” –Fred Rogers I have been practicing social work for 15 years and been doing direct clinical work for close to 10 years. I began my career working with children in the foster care system where I developed a true passion for wanting to help children and their families. Since then I have had a myriad of experiences treating both children and adults. My empathetic and caring demeanor coupled with my therapeutic approach using play therapy and cognitive behavioral strategies can help children develop the coping skills they need. My expertise is in treating children and their families who are overcome with anxiety and sadness.
