Therapist Overview
Pyramid Family Behavioral Healthcare (PFBH) offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that serves adolescents and adults who are suffering with mood and anxiety disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and other common behavioral health conditions. PFBH’s intensive outpatient program provides active, intensive therapeutic services in a coordinated and structured environment. The advantage of our IOP is the ability to apply newly learned skills in a familiar but “real world” environment by returning home every day, while still having the opportunity to process experiences of distress in a supportive treatment environment. The foundation of Pyramid Family Behavioral Healthcare lies in its dedication to treating the individual as a part of a family system. By tackling issues of the entire family unit, the goal of improving one’s ability to find fulfillment in life becomes a reality. Pyramid Family Behavioral Healthcare brings services into Atlanta-area communities so they are more accessible and convenient for clients and their families, offering them a better opportunity to engage in the program and support the healing process of the family system. Research shows us that the more a treatment program engages the family or support system, the better the outcomes and longevity of change for the client. Furthermore, bridging the gap between existing outpatient providers and the program produces improved continuity of care and thus builds upon gains made in treatment. We also believe that an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is very valuable when used as an early intervention tool to prevent the need for treatment at a higher level of care, such as hospitalization. IOP is the least restrictive structured environment available on an outpatient basis and allows the client to continue their normal, everyday lives. Our team has encountered many families who sometimes wait too long to seek help, allowing the behavioral health condition to get worse and have a larger impact on a client’s life. This is not how behavioral health conditions should be managed – people Pyramid Family Behavioral Healthcare’s value-based model is driven to overcome several obstacles inherent to most treatment providers and families. PFBH: Employs highly trained and seasoned clinical teams supported by training and development plans, Designs programs that are appropriate for the client’s stage of development or life-stage, Incorporates a “client-centered” approach for higher client treatment participation, Utilizes a broader spectrum of modalities and treatment approaches, Incorporates the client’s support system into the treatment process, Collaborates with current treatment providers on treatment planning and continuing care planning for better continuity, Creates program outcome measures to quantify program efficacy, Continuously evaluates areas of need through customer request and market demand, Program is transparent and client-specific to allow the client and the clinical professional to make an informed decision about the appropriateness of a referral or program fit.
