Therapist Overview

Deciding to seek help from a mental health professional is not always an easy decision to make, and for some making this decision can feel overwhelming. Finding an understanding therapist who is capable of addressing your individual needs, however, is often the first step towards living a happier, healthier, and more meaningful life. I work with adults and young adults utilizing a style that is strength-based, client-centered, and one that emphasizes both compassion and respect. I believe that cultivating a strong therapeutic relationship in an open and safe environment is the cornerstone that leads to real transformation. I value treatment approaches that have been researched and proven to be effective including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET). Treatment plans are tailored to meet the individual needs of every client I work with. I have experience treating people with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma related symptoms, PTSD, substance use disorders, marital/relationship issues, stress management, career changes, and life transitions. I welcome you to contact me via telephone or by email to explore if we are a good match for each other.
