Many people are struggling today, aren't they? Maybe you often struggle with sadness, or worry about the future. Maybe you've been dealing with the after-effects of childhood trauma, or your relationship is burdened with resentment. These experiences leave us feeling exhausted, stressed out, and stuck. That stuckness becomes a barrier to experiencing a sense of joy or lasting satisfaction in our lives. A big part of my role as a therapist is to help you identify barriers that keep you from having your best life possible. I often draw from EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, the Gottman Method, Buddhist Psychology, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to help you see where you might be stuck, and to help you get unstuck. I believe that hope, unwavering compassion, and copious amounts of humor are agents of positive and lasting change. We don't have to go through it alone. We all need the support of compassionate others to help us through life's challenges sometimes. I encourage you to reach out for support. You might just see a tremendous difference in your life!
