Therapist Overview

In today’s hard driving culture, many people are working hard and enjoying prosperity. While this is good, a wide body of research shows a high number of Americans report feeling very lonely and isolated. What are we missing? Connection. We humans are wired for close and intimate connection. When we don’t have it in our most significant relationships, especially in marriage, it is hard to find joy in anything else. What gets in the way of achieving this connection? Negative cycles and unprocessed trauma. Negative cycles take over our important relationships and unprocessed trauma can make close connection feel threatening. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I use evidence based therapies, and Catholic and 12-step spiritual perspectives, to help people achieve the connection they long for. I work with couples, individuals, and families and have advanced training, in both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT). I am privileged to encounter clients right where they are; to walk alongside them with encouragement, curiosity, respect, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard, and help find the right solutions for each individual. This is a journey that we embark on together, to explore and heal those blocks to experiencing connection and joy.
