Mia Bernardi

Counselor in New York

Who I Serve

I have worked with diverse adult populations to include those with chronic physical illness, mood disorders, anxiety, and anger management concerns. In addition, I have experience with the LGBTQI+ community. I have also worked with those who were previously incarcerated. I am a mental health counselor who utilizes an integrative approach to psychotherapy that includes narrative and cognitive-behavioral (CBT) techniques. I am passionate about community-based psychology and strive to approach issues systemically. I have received extensive multicultural training and worked with diverse adult populations. I believe that the foundation of successful therapy is a strong relationship between the therapist and client. I strive to cultivate a supportive, nonjudgmental environment unique to each client and their differing needs. I believe that each client is the expert of their own experience and I work collaboratively to create goals and treatment plans.
