I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment where a person can feel safe to explore the challenges they are facing, and work towards a healthier state of mind and living. I work with people who often feel a deep sense of isolation due to their emotional pain. People frequently seek me out after being reluctant to see a therapist, or may have had experiences in the past of not feeling understood in therapy. Our work together will provide the opportunity for you to understand yourself more deeply, which in my experience offers the greatest hope for lasting change. My approach focuses on helping people learn to live through (not against) their emotional pain. I have experience working in outpatient, residential, inpatient, and emergency department settings. I have been working in the mental health and substance abuse fields since 2004. My practice is located in Madison Park. I know from experience the hardest part is reaching out to begin. The easiest way to find out if I'm a good fit for your current needs is for us to meet to see if you feel like I treat your issues with care and respect.
