Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you to learn how your thoughts, assumptions and beliefs influence your emotions and how emotions influence behavior, which then results in improved ability to recognize what is fact vs fiction, and thus more clarity about the situation. Breathwork and grounding skills are often combined with CBT because these skills help to calm your nervous system which then helps you to use CBT more effectively to reduce feeling states such as depression, anxiety, and panic attacks, and overall reactivity is significantly reduced. I’m not taking new clients till mid-Sept thru Oct. I enjoy helping couples and singles to develop effective relationship skills, such as expressing and listening, negotiating with mutual respect and compassion, and building trust and vulnerability, and managing conflict in a successful manner so that all involved experience the joy of resolution. I will not be taking new clients until late Sept/Oct. I bring gentle compassion, respect, as well as warm humor, into sessions. I am also LGBTQIA friendly.
