Did you know there is a short-term (1-5 sessions), compassionate, targeted and researched intervention for couples like you? Discernment Counseling is specifically for couples on the verge of separation. It provides unbiased, skilled support to help slow things down so you can both thoughtfully consider and gain clarity and confidence around your options. I offer Discernment Counseling in a weekly format in person or on-line, or as a 4-5 day “intensive” in beautiful Vermont for those wanting to go all out. This provides a time set apart from the pressures of life to really listen deeply, making decisions from a place without distraction. (Intensives can be on-line dependent on your state’s licensure rules). I bring to my work the wisdom and humor of many years working as a therapist, and as an individual committed to my own growth and wellbeing. Clients appreciate my authenticity, enthusiasm, integrity and presence. I am also a mindfulness educator and am happy to teach you how to use mindfulness to regulate the strong emotions that arise in relationships.
