Therapist Overview

***Not accepting new clients at this time.*** To be human is to experience great joy and great pain; sensitive people feel that pain on a deep level that can be overwhelming. Whether your pain stems from traumatic experiences, attachment wounds, or emotional needs that aren’t being met, therapy can help you sit with the pain while still building a meaningful and rich life. Therapy can help you claim your sensitivity for what it is–an exquisite gift to be honored instead of an overwhelming enemy. I specialize in helping sensitive people find their own inner resilience so that they can continue to live meaningfully despite experiencing pain and difficulty. I do this through person-centered acceptance and commitment therapy, somatic and attachment-focused EMDR (SAFE EMDR), music therapy, and the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music. My job as therapist is to walk with and guide you as you move through the inner spaces that are uncomfortable and scary. Like Frodo in “Lord of the Rings,” you must carry the ring to Mordor; however, as your Sam, I will walk with you and support you on your journey. Please feel free to contact me with any questions and to see if we are a good fit.
