Throughout our lives, we can all benefit from some outside help to guide us back on track. As a mental health counselor I understand the value of proper self-care, which includes taking care of our emotional and mental needs. Whether I am working with people experiencing anxiety, stress, behavioral issues, self esteem issues, relationship issues, or those with substance use or addiction- my goal is to get to know you and all the important aspects of your life that make you unique. Once we determine the focus of counseling, it will be a collaborative process to begin to motivate change and set goals that are important to you. I utilize a holistic, strengths-based approach to help clients use existing resources within themselves to achieve the change they are striving for. I base my counseling style off of the client and their specific needs at that time. I utilize mindfulness, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and positive psychology theory in my practice. My goal is to ensure that you feel heard, understood, validated, and respected throughout counseling.
