I understand that the decision to enter into counseling may have been a difficult one for you. I know that making that first call is the most difficult and bravest thing you can do for yourself. I have been on both sides of the desk, so I can relate to that fear and anxiety. Sometimes we get so overwhelmed with the demands of life, our “vessels” are empty at the end of a busy day, week, etc. Loving ourselves and making “us” a priority, is a way to keep our vessels full, so that we can give to others when we want to and not have to sacrifice “us” in order to do that. We all need to find a balance in life. I have many personal loss experiences which led me to this career. Over ten years of experience in career counseling earning two certifications, have worked in non-profit, hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, teaching, a mental health clinic, and most recently in private practice. I am a Certified Therapeutic Art Life Coach, and counselor with Betterhelp.com. I can help you with life adjustment, bereavement, depression, stress, and anxiety. I consider myself an eclectic, faith based (religion need not be discussed) counselor that is person centered, empathetic, with a strength based approach that incorporates the use of art expression.
