Who I Serve

The question I’m always asking as a counselor is not, “How can I help my clients cope better?” but rather, “How can I help them not have to cope so much in the first place?” Coping gets exhausting after a while, doesn’t it? Maybe you’ve been in counseling before, (maybe for a really long time) and maybe you’ve already learned some good ways of coping. I’m more interested in helping you truly, permanently heal on a deeper level so you don't have to work so hard to just treat the symptoms. I've also learned that we usually can’t there just by talking about it. Talk therapy is often really helpful, but usually not enough. My approach to counseling relies heavily on evidence-based models designed for healing on a deeper level. I am also a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist.
