I believe we have an innate ability to heal. Within each of us is an intelligence that knows what is needed. By connecting with this intelligence, we are led. I offer support in this process--integrating somatic, psychological, and spiritual perspectives to bring healing to past and present challenges. I think of healing as a process of regaining strength and wholeness, releasing what is no longer needed, and coming into relationship with your self and your purpose. My approach is informed by my training in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, mindfulness and ego state therapies. I offer a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental space to navigate this process, holding unconditional positive regard, and trusting that each individual is doing their best, given their past history and present resources. I have 25 years of experience as a therapist and a specialty in trauma. I work with adults, college students, teens, and parents. Many of the people that come to me have been frustrated by traditional approaches to healing trauma. Some are on a spiritual path and are interested in integrating spiritual perspectives into therapy, while others are exploring what they believe. Diversity of all kinds is embraced. I welcome the opportunity to assist you on your path of healing.
