I believe that therapy is a way for individuals to express their feelings in a safe place where they can feel heard without judgement and with compassion. It is my goal to meet my clients where they are at and come alongside them to help them through whatever difficult they are facing in their life. I use an attachment-based approach and utilize various therapeutic techniques from a variety of theories including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, Play and Sand Therapy techniques, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, EFT for Couples, Gottman, Bowenian, Structural, Experiential Family Therapy. I believe that in order for counseling to be effective there needs to be a strong therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client. This is a collaborative relationship, where you and I, together focus on what is most important to you. I use a person-centered approach, meaning the focus on the client and their needs.
