Therapist Overview

How can you help your child through a big life transition or challenge? Trauma, grief and loss, family dynamics and other life transitions can impact how we think about ourselves, what we feel and how we show these thoughts and feelings, impacting behaviors at home and at school. Animals, including our resident Therapy Dog, Chazz, can provide a safe place for the therapy to begin and help clients develop insight and awareness. We provide individual, family and group therapy sessions in your home or in our office. Animal Assisted Therapy is a goal-directed intervention that includes an animal as part of the treatment. We use evidence based practices that include Animal Assisted Interventions including: EMDR, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Short Term Brief Therapy. Your session may include Therapy Dog, Chazz, who will be there as part of your therapeutic process. We focus on building connection, rapport and trust, and teaching empathy for self and others whi
