Who I Serve

My clinical experience spans adolescent and adult mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring populations. I've supported adolescent clients and their families in managing behavioral problems, anger management issues, school-related problems, substance use disorders and mental health disorders. I've also worked extensively with adolescent and adult women experiencing significant environmental stressors and unresolved trauma/abuse. I utilize a client-centered, psychodynamic approach augmented by cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and dialectical-behavioral (DBT) interventions. My goal is to help clients increase their self-awareness, and understand their thoughts, feelings and beliefs in relation to their past experiences, especially childhood experiences. Together, we can identify important pieces of the puzzle that make you who you are, and rearrange them in ways that allow you to form a more functional and positive sense of self. Please contact me for a free phone consultation to determine if I can be of service.
