For adults and adolescents struggling with mental health symptoms, she provides attentive and effective evaluation and individual therapy services. She has extensive training in supporting youth and families in crisis, and is able to fluently engage individuals from a variety of cultural and experiential backgrounds. Amy believes that the key to a restorative therapeutic experience involves a partnership built on trust, empathy, and attunement; the art of really being seen and heard. Amy has worked in a variety of settings within urbanized areas of the San Francisco Bay Area, California: juvenile detention centers; residential and inpatient adolescent psychiatric facilities; and school and community-based programs where she has worked extensively with high-risk adolescents and their families. Amy’s primary areas of expertise include: depression, anxiety, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, adolescent identity formation and development, as well as issues related to loss and transition.
