I believe in the importance of acknowledging how the brain and body work together to form the person we are. Our experiences throughout our life shape who we are and how we move in the world. I am deeply interested in how we carry our stories in our bodies. In my practice, I integrate knowledge about the way the body, brain, and emotions work together to form our sense of self. I draw from a strengths-based perspective as I help clients achieve their goals in therapy. I enjoy working with children, teens, and adults. I especially enjoy supporting parents in the difficult work of parenting children and teens. I am deeply passionate about helping individuals see their full potential and the capacity they have to heal from trauma. I am trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy level 1 for processing trauma and currently am training in level 2 for developmental injury. I am also trained in Level 1 and 2 for EMDR and Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency (ARC). I have ten years of experience with survivors of sexual assault of all ages. I incorporate knowledge about the neurobiology of trauma in my work, using body-based modalities to process the symptoms of trauma that interrupt daily life. I have spent significant time of my life living in Latin America. I have a deep appreciation for how culture shapes us.
