Who I Serve

**Not accepting new clients** I believe the therapeutic relationship can serve a healing role in a person’s life. I utilize an interactive, person-centered approach. This approach is non-judgmental, warm and based in the belief that each person has resilience and strength. I was educated and worked for many years in NYC where I gained extensive experience providing therapy to a wide variety of individuals, especially women, young adults, and individuals who identify as LGBTQ + . I also have extensive experience with counseling patients around issues of depression, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties and substance use. I help clients utilizing a mixture of gaining insight into why certain difficulties exist, as well as teaching skills that can help people create better boundaries, improve communication and cope with emotions more effectively. Therapy can help people reach greater self-awareness and self-acceptance, which in turn opens one up to more opportunities for joy and connection. In the words of Carl Rogers, “The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” I invite you to call me and connect.
