Therapist Overview
I come to you believing this: the power of emotions is incredible. They can shape our identities, impact how we interact with others and can be the underlying source of ongoing and situational problems. I work with adolescents, young adults, and any individuals who are struggling with understanding who they are and where they fit into the world. This may include difficulties with depression, anxiety, interpersonal/family conflicts, adjustments towards change in life, stress, trauma and other concerns. This last year has brought a need for many to adjust their lives differently to find balance. This space can be used for that. A cognitive behavioral, mindfulness and strength based therapy directs the work I do with people. I also am an EMDR trained therapist, for those seeking specific relief around trauma. Therapy looks and feels different for everyone. It’s because of this, that one of my goals, is to mold therapy to how someone learns and what they want to gain. It is my hope that I can create a safe space where one can re-connect with their inherent strength, learn new ways of coping with discomfort, and help you work towards positive sustainable change. My education and experience has led me to working with people of all demographics. It is important that no matter who are, you feel accepted and welcomed.
